When you’re stuck in a prison you know about it, well this doggie must have felt like she was stuck in some kind of prison because all she knew was a cold concrete ground and a chain fence, however, now she looks amazing in comparison!
Bailey, who was called ‘Kayseeboo ’ by her previous fosterer was given this amazing second chance when her owners came to see the reality of the situation that they could not care for her the way she should have been cared for anymore…
She was surrendered to a shelter, in the hopes she will have a better hole with someone else. She was taken in by ‘Fur Friends in Need’ based in New Jersey, they are a fine animal rescue shelter.
While she was in the rescue center, the staff taught her how to play fetch for the very first time in her life, how sweet, and how excited she must have been to discover how to play fetch!
Her foster mom, Millie Acosta, gave her the very first bed, Christmas really came early for this lovely doggie.
Millie went everywhere with her, even to the yoga classes, how lovely! She has definitely shown what a lovely sweet dog she is, and her kind nature.
“You can do anything with a foster dog!”
The life she was experiencing now was so far from the life she had before, but it was going to get even better still…
On the other end of the scale, Nicole Greene and her husband, Jamie, were just recovering from when their beloved doggie Ellie died.
“She was a pit bull mix we adopted when we were volunteering at an animal shelter …Pit bulls have such a bad reputation and her demeanor was so amazing that we just knew she was meant to be ours. She changed a lot of lives and opinions that people have about pit bulls.”
The couple and their third dog Charlie were all very sad and grieving their loss. They decided that they needed to have another dog and what is better than to rescue another dog and giving them a loving home.
“Jamie and I were searching for a member to add to our family. We were fairly insistent on adopting a pit bull because we love them so much and believe that they are fantastic dogs.”
After a lot of time searching for what they were after they finally saw a 5-year-old black pit bull who had spent all her life stuck outside.
“Her description seemed too good to be true, as they were all the qualities my husband and I were looking for in a dog (cuddly, loves giving kisses, follows you around) …Once we spoke with Millie, her foster mom, for about 45 minutes and heard her horrible life story so far, we knew we had to meet Kayseeboo.”
When they met her it was like a match made in heaven, it was so perfect!
Nicole then said:
“When we did meet her, we both fell instantly in love with her personality and her kisses! She is so sweet and nurturing despite what she’s been through …Jamie and I knew then and there that she was meant to be a part of our family.”
To make sure that the adopters are suitable ‘Fur Friends in Need’ does hole visits and to protect the rescue dogs, they are very responsible.
Nicole said that:
“When we had to wait a week for the home visit, it was torture! …Neither of us slept because we couldn’t wait for her to be ours.”
Thankfully for both doggie and the lovely couple adopting her, they didn’t have any longer to wait now, they had been approved. They renamed Kayseeboo to Bailey and were home in a great time to celebrate the holidays!
“She met Charlie …Once that went well, she sniffed around, played in her new yard and got comfortable in her new home.”
Millie said her goodbyes to the lovely doggie she had grown very fond of, she was so happy she had found such a lovely loving home.
“Pit bulls are always so hard to adopt …She is truly wonderful, this pup.”
Bailey is settling in really well into her new home, lots of lovely walks with great smells, and of course lots of treats and love!
“She loves sleeping right between Jamie and me every night so far”
They even got her a set of Christmas pajamas, bless her!
